Like her friend Carrie, Camilla has also been discontinued! TBG is going to miss Camilla, as she is so soft and feminine. Camilla is absolutely lovely, and she would be amazing for a romantic beach wedding. Just think of it - flowers in your hair, simple jewelry, and your beloved Camilla (oops... beloved Groom).

TBG is selling our sample of Camilla off the rack, and we know she will be lovingly worn by the bride who chooses her! Camilla is a silk charmeuse empire A-line gown with rouched bust and braided straps. She’s simple and easygoing, but has flattering details in all the right places. Our sample is a size 8 ivory gown, and is in great condition.

Melissa Sweet Carrie....Discontinued!

Omg our beloved Carrie by Melissa Sweet has been discontinued. While we are certainly distraught about her departure, we are excited about her possibilities, and we just know she will make a lucky bride very, very happy on her big day.

To celebrate this bittersweet occasion, we are selling our sample of Carrie by Melissa Sweet off the rack! Carrie is a silk taffeta A-line gown with godet skirt embellished in hand beaded glass beads along the hem, which frame the cutwork on her hem. Carrie has a crumb catcher top, and natural waist. Her straps can be worn, or removed if you prefer her to be strapless. Our sample is a size 8 ivory gown, and she is in incredibly good condition.

Aaah..seasons change with the scenery, weaving time in a tapestry....

Elsa is definitely a Simon and Garfunkel fan, but she secretly likes The Bangles' version of Hazy Shade of Winter better. Anywhoodle, after a whirlwind Melissa Sweet trunk show weekend, Elsa is just exhausted! She is taking the day to change her wardrobe from Summer to Fall (note her smart brown fall parka and fall themed flowers, courtesy of Woodland Flowers).

Oh Sweet Cakes!

TBG was recently lucky enough to experience the complete fabulousness of Sweet Cakes. Located on Park Lane in Kirkland, Sweet Cakes offers adorable little cupcakes that are as delicious as they are cute (may we recommend the lemon!?). During our cupcake extravaganza, we were surprised to learn that each Sweet Cakes cupcake is gluten free!

Stop by and pick up a few dozen....we were glad we did!

Sooo...what exactly is a trunk show?

You know when hear a word or a term a few times, and you nod along with it like you are completely in the know, but you really are not? Then, at some point, it becomes too late in the game to ask what the word/term really is? TBG realizes that the term trunk show is one of those terms, and we want to alleviate any potential embarrassment our brides may experience as a result of not being on the up and up with it (see how we care about the important issues of the day?).

A trunk show is a special event held at The Bridal Garden. We invite a featured designer to send their most recent collection of gowns, and we feature them with our regular stock of the featured designer’s gowns for a weekend. This gives brides an opportunity to try on and order the latest and greatest for their wedding. Sort of like when Rachel and Phoebe went wedding dress shopping with Monica, but definitely not as cut-throat (i.e. no whistles needed).

Not to mention, trunk shows are really fun! Frequently, we have the featured designer at TBG to assist brides with gown selection, and they are always really fun to work with. Additionally, we serve champagne and assorted treats to our brides to make the whole experience really memorable. And, we always offer a 10% discount on the featured designer’s collection of re-order gowns…. A fantastic way to get the gown of your dreams, and have a little left over to contribute to your wedding shoe budget!
